Diabetes studies
1) Patients on oral diabetic medications. This study looks at the effect of an investigational medication on patient's blood pressure and heart rate.
2) Patients who are on insulin, with or without oral diabetic medication. Investigational medication is a once-weekly injection given in addition to current diabetic medications.
Hypoparathyroidism
Patients age 18 to 85 who have been diagnosed with hypoparathyroidism for at least 18 months, and who require 1000+ mg. of oral calcium per day.
Studies the effectiveness of a once-daily injectable parathyroid hormone in reducing the need for supplemental oral calcium and vitamin D therapy.
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Study medication is an oral anti-TNF agent.
You may qualify if you have active disease (6 tender/painful joints and 6 swollen joints; are on a stable dose of methotrexate; and have had an inadequate response or failure to tolerate at least one TNF-inhibiting agent (Remicade, Enbrel, Humira, Orencia).
Ulcerative proctitis or proctosigmoiditis
Must have confirmed diagnosis of ulcerative proctitis or proctosigmoiditis, with mild to moderate active symptoms. Medication is an internally applied foam.
